Our Physicians

Al Lintel, MD

Dr. Al Lintel is a graduate of the Emory University School of Medicine and was raised in Syracuse, NY. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and completed his residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in 1986.

Dr. Lintel has 13 years experience as an Emergency Physician at a Level II Trauma Center and seven years in Urgent Care Medicine. His community service includes serving as Medical Director for Metro Atlanta Emergency Medical Services and Chairman of the Metro Atlanta Disaster Committee.

Dr. Lintel resides in Marietta with his wife Libby, a local high school horticulture teacher. Both enjoy tennis and gardening and are involved with their high school marching band.

Karl Astaphan, MD

Dr. Karl Astaphan is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. He is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Astaphan and his family moved to Georgia from Canada in 1998. He has been practicing for just over 20 years.
